Lukijalle Tämä koodikirja on osa Tietoarkistoon arkistoitua tutkimusaineistoa FSD3084. Aineisto on kuvailtu mahdollisimman yksityiskohtaisesti suomeksi ja englanniksi. Aineistoon ja sen tekijöihin tulee viitata asianmukaisesti kaikissa julkaisuissa ja esityksissä, joissa aineistoa käytetään. Koodikirjan alussa on tiedot aineiston sisällöstä, aineiston rakenteesta ja keruusta sekä luettelo tietoarkistoon ilmoitetuista julkaisuista, joissa aineistoa on hyödynnetty. Toinen osa sisältää tiedot muuttujista: muuttujien nimet, kysymystekstit ja suorat jakaumat. Kolmannesta osasta löytyvät hakemistot. Tässä koodikirjassa esitetyt muuttujien jakaumat on tuotettu SPSS-tiedostoista. Jakaumataulukoissa on esitetty muuttujan saamat arvot, vastaavat frekvenssit (n), frekvenssit prosentteina (%) ja validit prosentit (v. %), joissa on huomioitu puuttuvat arvot. Kaikki jakaumat ovat painottamattomia. Jos aineisto sisältää painomuuttujia ne löytyvät muuttujaluettelon lopusta. Joidenkin muuttujien osalta suorat jakaumat on korvattu kuvailevilla tunnusluvuilla. Avokysymyksistä luokiteltuja vaihtoehtoja ei ole yleensä otettu mukaan koodikirjaan. Jakaumat saattavat sisältää puuttuvia tietoja. Merkintä "tieto puuttuu (SYSMIS)" viittaa puuttuvaan havaintoon. Merkintä "tieto puuttuu (User missing)" viittaa muuhun puuttuvaan tietoon, esimerkiksi arkistossa määriteltyyn puuttuvaan tietoon (user missing). Useissa tapauksissa aineiston käyttäjän on harkittava myös muiden arvojen koodaamista puuttuvaksi tiedoksi (esim. en halua sanoa tai en osaa sanoa ). Koodikirja voi sisältää myös erilaisia liitteitä. Tyypillisin liite on kyselylomake.

1. Aineiston kuvailu Tieteenala / Aihealue OKM:n tieteenalaluokitus: yhteiskuntatieteet CESSDAn luokitus: toisen ja korkea-asteen koulutus; työllisyys ja työllistyminen Sarjakuvaus Tämä aineisto kuuluu sarjaan: Aineistot, jotka eivät kuulu sarjaan Yksittäiset aineistot, jotka eivät kuulu mihinkään sarjaan. Sisällön kuvaus Aineistossa kartoitetaan suomalaisissa yliopistoissa opiskelevien jatko-opiskelijoiden hyvinvointia, työntekoa ja asemaa yliopistossa. Aluksi vastaajilta tiedusteltiin opintojen vaihetta, opintoihin positiivisesti ja negatiivisesti vaikuttaneita tekijöitä, työskentelyä yliopistossa tai sen ulkopuolella sekä opintojen rahoittamistapoja. Lisäksi kysyttiin työajan jakautumisesta eri tehtävien kesken, viikossa tehtyjen työtuntien määrästä ja tyytyväisyydestä rahoituksen määrään. Seuraavaksi kartoitettiin opiskelijan saaman ohjauksen määrää ja laatua. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös, työskentelevätkö he osana tutkimusryhmää ja kuinka yhteistyö muiden tutkijoiden kanssa sujuu. Lisäksi tiedusteltiin, ovatko vastaajat kokeneet tai todistaneet häirintää. Vastaajilta kysyttiin myös heidän tulevaisuuden suunnitelmistaan. Tiedusteltiin muun muassa, kuinka todennäköisenä vastaaja pitää työllistymistä esimerkiksi yliopisto-opettajaksi, tutkijaksi, valtion virkamieheksi tai yrittäjäksi. Lisäksi kysyttiin, kuinka mielellään vastaaja työskentelisi eri tehtävissä valmistumisen jälkeen. Lopuksi kartoitettiin vastaajan hyvinvointia esimerkiksi terveyden, ihmissuhteiden ja stressin näkökulmasta. Yhdistykset tiedottivat kyselystä jäsenilleen. 1.4 Aineiston käyttö Aineiston käytössä huomioitavaa Aineistosta on arkistoinnin yhteydessä poistettu tunnisteellisuussyistä muuttujat q1_2, q5, q15, q15_1, q17 ja q62. Muuttuja q23 ei sisällä luokkaa 3 pienen vastaajamäärän vuoksi. Opintojen aloitusvuosi q6 on luokiteltu ja koulutusala q2 karkeistettu ISCED-luokituksen mukaiseksi. Lisäksi avomuuttujista on poistettu tunnistetietoja, kuten opiskelualoja ja tiedekuntia, työpaikkoja, projektien nimiä, rahoittajia ja muita henkilökohtaisia tietoja, ja muutokset on merkitty hakasulkeilla.
