Book 1: As Red as Blood (Spring 2013) 17-year-old Lumikki Andersson lives by herself in Tampere and goes to a high school of performing arts. The religion of the cult is not pure; and innocence is not as white as snow. Book 3: As Black as Ebony (Spring 2014) Lumikki is set to play the leading role in a modernday version of Snow White. As the opening night approaches, Lumikki starts receiving notes from a stalker who seems to hold the answers to some dark secrets from Lumikki s past. With the opening night just around the corner, Lumikki has to find a way to outwit the stalker whose soul is as black as ebony. Salla Simukka Winner of the Topelius Prize 2013 Salla Simukka is a translator and author of juvenile fiction. She has written several novels and one collection of short prose for young readers, and has translated adult fiction, children s books and plays. Simukka regularly writes book reviews for the newspapers Helsingin Sanomat and Hämeen Sanomat and the weekly Suomen Kuvalehti. In addition, she is associate editor at a literary publication for young people, Lukufiilis. Snow White Trilogy YA thrillers with attitude The books in the Snow White trilogy are not children s detective stories. Instead, they are thrillers for 15+ teenagers and young adults thrillers with an edge, and thrillers where not everyone lives happily ever after. Lumikki Andersson, the main character in Snow White Trilogy, is a 17-year-old girl, who has learned to defend herself and to trust no one. She is a lonely wolf and a lonesome survivor. She was bullied at school, but she has now moved to Tampere and lives by herself. Lumikki is witty, sarcastic, a bit tough and enjoys solitude. She has decided that she doesn t want to be afraid anymore in her life. Her hobbies are bodycombat, ice swimming, running and going to art galleries. She doesn t want to get involved with things that are none of her business, but when she finds moneys stained with blood in school s darkroom, she finds herself drawn to a dangerous chain of events.
