Esityslistan hyväksyminen ENVI_OJ(2011)0713_1 Esityslista hyväksyttiin seuraavin muutoksin: Kohta 22 "Selonteko ENVI-valiokunnan valtuuskunnan matkasta Puolaan" poistettiin esityslistalta. 2. Puheenjohtajan ilmoitukset 2.1. Tulkkaustilanne Kaikkien muiden kielten paitsi viron, latvian, maltan ja slovakin tulkkaus oli saatavilla. Muutos valiokunnan kokoonpanossa (varajäsen) ENVI-valiokunnan varajäsenenä toiminut Licia RONZULLI (PPE) luopui paikastaan ja siirtyi FEMM-valiokunnan varajäseneksi. 2.3 Verenluovutus Belgian Punainen Risti ja parlamentin työterveysasema järjestivät verenluovutustilaisuuden jäsenille ja henkilökunnalle parlamentissa. 2.4 Äänestys Bas Eickhoutin mietinnöstä Täysistuntoäänestyksen seurauksena parlamentin pelätään yleisesti menettävän asemansa ilmaston suojelun moottorina etenkin kun otetaan huomioon, että ENVI-valiokunta oli alun perin hyväksynyt kompromissitekstin. Evaluation of the candidate for a second mandate as EMA's Executive Director The papers for the meeting included: - a letter dated 17 June 2011 from Mr Andreas Pott, Acting Executive Directive of the European Medicines Agency, informing Mr Leinen that Mr Guido Rasi has been nominated as the Executive Director-designate. - Regulation (EC) No 726/2004 of 31 March 2004 laying down Community procedures for the authorisation and supervision of medicinal products for human and veterinary use and establishing a European Medicines Agency (excerpt: Articles 22-45) - C.V., letter of motivation, declaration of commitment, declaration of interests The coordinators held an exchange of views in the presence of Ms Roth-Behrendt, ENVI Contact Person for relations with EMA evaluated the performance of Mr Rasi at the hearing instructed the chairman to prepare a draft evaluation letter for the attention of the President of the European Parliament (the draft will be circulated by e-mail before its being signed, deadline for comments 14 July 2011 at 13.00 hrs). The case of Mr Holoman, substitute Member of the EMA Management Board The papers for meeting included the second letter of 1 June 2011 from Mr Leinen to Mr Holoman and the reply by Mr Holoman of 3 June 2011 The coordinators heard Ms Roth-Behrendt, ENVI Contact Person for relations with EMA held an exchange of views decided that in line with Article 7 of the relevant rules 1, Mr Holoman shall be given a hearing at an in camera meeting of the coordinators. This shall be the basis for the coordinators' final decision as to whether the ENVI Committee should ask the Conference of Presidents to withdraw his mandate. C.3a. Oral question in Plenary (Rule 115) on EU global response to HIV/AIDS The coordinators decided that the secretariat should submit a concise draft for an Oral Question in plenary pursuant to Rule 115 with a view to adopting the Oral Question at a forthcoming committee meeting. C.10. Malnourished patients The coordinators invited the Health Working Group to clarify the matter. C.11. Request for oral question on the consequences of the EHEC outbreak in terms of health and food safety, supported by Rebecca Harms and Satu Hassi The coordinators decided that the matter should be discussed at a forthcoming committee meeting. The decision on a possible Oral Question plus resolution shall be taken in the light of the outcome of that debate. C.12. Implementing act - Objection - amending Regulation (EU) No 297/2011 imposing special conditions on the import of feed and food from Japan following the Fukushima accident The coordinors decided that i) a letter should be addressed to the Commission, pointing out that the time for effective reaction had been too short ii) the Commission shall be invited to the Committee (Rule 197) to present the measure on 19 September 2011. European Chemicals Agency in Committee; this presentation should be combined with the annual visit of the Agency's Executive Director, provisionally scheduled for 3 October 2011 p.m. ii) appropriate representatives of ECHA should be invited to the presentation of the 2nd reading recommendation of the Klaß report on Biocides on 8 September 2011 p.m. C.14. Resolution on antibiotic resistance The coordinators decided that the issue of antibiotic resistance as a threat to human health should be discussed at a forthcoming committee meeting. The exchange of views shall be followed up by an Oral Question in plenary (Rule 115), accompanied by a resolution. C.15. Legal opinion on bluefin thuna fishing quotas set in the framework of the ICCAT agreement The coordinators invited the chairman to write to the Council and to the Commission in order to obtain the documents which were still required for drawing up the Legal Opinion that had been requested on 18 April 2011. C.16. EP study on shale gase The coordinators heard Mr Sonik who noted that the authors of the study "Impacts of shale gas and shale oil extraction on the environment and on human health" were all of the same nationality and that the results of the study were, according to him, unbalanced. * * * D.
