Exploration log SESSION START TIME: 2008-02-21 18:00 DURATION (hours): 2:00 TESTERs: A,B,C,D ENVIRONMENT: Win XP(2), Vista 64(1) + SP2(2)+firefox(3)/IE? 4.1 Data files none 4.2 Test notes (A)In the test two haulers and drivers were added to system by choosing *create new from the list. Then two hauls for two first days (one for each hauler/driver) were added and then confirmed. After that all the rest of the data was added same way. (A)Test went fine. The system was quite intuitive and easy to learn and I didn't have any problems while using the program. (B)Found large portion of bugs and issues when playing around with the sample project. (B)Followed instructions (no problems or bugs here) and then tested reports in free testing phase. (B)Reports were tested by changing dates because there wasn t any other data to be changed, also excel export was tested. (C)I started with trying out things with the firstname_start account. (C) Changed language to Finnish. (C)Added three reasonable hauls and everything worked fine. (C)Tried to get a report for only one day, but could not get it. See issues. (C)Tried to add hauls with very large numbers and got strange looking error
messages. See bugs. (C)Exported a report to.xls and opened it in OpenOffice. It looked good. (C)Started using firstname account. (C)Added two hauls with same freight bill number. (C)Started viewing reports and the just added haulages only showed up in the "Haulage by hauler " and "By Work site type" and not in "Transfers by contractor" and "Haulage By Date". (C)Added one more haulage. (C)Found out the "Transfers by contractor" and "Haulage By Date" show the haulage correctly if you enter one extra day in the end of the period. For example to see period 20.1.2008-21.1.2008 you need to put in the fields 20.1.2008-22.1.2008. (C)Added more hauls. (C)Added new locations and new persons. (C)Started editing hauls in "Main Page > Reports > Transfers by Contractor". (C)Added weeks hauls with good looking results. (A)Some texts at report creation screen was not translated. (A)Freight bill number can contain letters (A)If user types html tags to some field it would be nice that it would just say that <some text> is not allowed instead of showing System.Web.HttpRequestValidationException error message because everything which has < and > around is considered to be potential html tag so it is also possible that some user tries to put some comments like <additional information> or something. (B) What should be entered to Ajomatka field? Total or distance between sites? In reports it is Etäisyys. (B)Second report has wrong title? Calendar style selection of dates would be helpful (C) I could not figure out how to get a report from "Etusivu > Raportit > Massansiirrot kuljettajan perusteella" for only one day. You need to select at least two days or else you get a pop up telling to select the right days. (C)Buttons in "Etusivu > Raportit > Työkohdetyypin perusteella" or "Etusivu > Raportit > Määrä per päivämäärä perusteella" were in English even when the language selected was Finnish. (C)Some reports are too big and you can not see their top where the are the values same time as you look the values at the bottom. See image at the end of the file. (C)"Main Page > Reports > Haulage by Hauler" could have more empty space between data sheets of different haulers. Current spacing makes it hard to see fast were the new sheet starts. (C)If you edit hauls in "Transfers by Contractor" saving does not take you back to "Transfers by Contractor" but to "Main Page > Haul Inputs ". If you want to edit another entry in the same time period you have to find it in the "Transfers by Contractor" again, so editing many entries takes a lot of time.
