7 Review of the project (1/2) Design process can be integrated with collaborative tools, semantic product information and virtual machine laboratory => web technology & social capital A coherent semantic model can be constructed and the added values can be identified, but the information formats are not interoperable and some of information are missing => need for information designers and interoperability Semantic modeling should be integrated with systems engineering paradadigm and detailed design processes of machine system => need for comprehensive management and development of design models
8 Review of the project (2/2) It is very difficult to create a common design model, because of different contextual features and requirements => context analyses & management Machine understandability and semiautomatic information management are essential factors, because the amount of design information is very huge => automatic validation and masstailored products Data driven virtual machine laboratory can be constructed for supporting design and after market services => shared views and tools for collaboration
