Vaiheen 1 valot houkuttelevat asiakkaan osastolle. Jotta asiakas ei käänny heti pois, hänen läsnäolonsa aktivoi vaiheen 2 valaistuksen, joka ohjaa asiakkaan kulkua osastolla hienovaraisemmalla tavalla Asiakkaan liikkuessa osastolla, dynaamiset valot ennakoivat asiakkaan reittiä ja kirkastuvat joko yksitellen tai pienemmissä sarjoissa. Usean asiakkaan liikkuessa osastolla yhtä aikaa, voidaan valot ohjelmoida kirkastumaan sattumanvaraisesti Koska asiakkaat lähestyvät osastoa eri suunnista, eri asiakastyypeille (lähestymisen suhteen) voidaan suunnitella eri tavalla aktivoituvat valosarjat.
