Research and postgraduate studies the focus areas of the Faculty s research activities include human spare parts, immunology and inflammation, vaccines, celiac disease, cancer (especially prostate and breast cancer), health care service systems, ageing (including mitochondrial diseases), proteomics and bioinformatics, and cardiovascular diseases (particularly atherosclerosis). postgraduate studies in Doctoral Programmes take place in research centres and research groups. The degree programmes consist of coursework based on the student s personal study plan and a doctoral dissertation.
