Targeting on risk reduction Regulation on PPP (and directive on the sustainable use of pesticides)
Regulation on placing PPP products to market korvaa voimassa olevan direktiivin (91/414/ETY) koskee kasvinsuojeluaineiden ja niitä sisältävien tehoaineiden hyväksymistä ja käyttöä, sekä hyväksymismenettelyyn liittyvää, kuten esim. tietosuoja säätelee kasvinsuojeluaineiden pakkaamista, merkitsemistä ja mainontaa, valvontaa ja hätätilanteita
guidelines Cultivation guidelines of food industry Malting barley, wheat for bread, rye, turnip rape and rape: common plant protection guidelines and recommendations Food for children: specific plant protection guidelines on contracts for growing: no PPP residues is a prerequisite (e.g. longer safety timelines after spraying) Seed production: Specific plant protection guidelines
guidelines Good cultivation and soring practices of cereals Co-operative group of grain branch (VYR) has published a guideline for Good cultivation and soring practices of cereals (www.fingrain.fi). Guideline is directed to every farmer to product high quality, safe and environmentally friendly grain
guidelines Balanced plant protection Balanced plant protection means pest management if needed. Chemical pest management is to be done after careful pest inspection and realised risk for damages. Basic knowledge includes pest management in advance and pest identification.
guidelines Other guidelines Recommendations of Nordic Baltic Resistance Action Group (NORBARAG) Pests can be insensitive (resistant) to pesticides. Resistance evolution takes time, but it may happen in few years, also. Prerequisite to evolution of a resistant population is competitive advantage of the resistance. When the susceptible population is sprayed with regular sprays without chemical alteration, the new resistant population thrives.
