Tavoite Vuonna 2005 Pohjoismaiden ministerineuvosto asetti tavoitteeksi rajattoman pohjoismaisen sähkömarkkinan

Toukokuu 2009:

NordREG states that as a customer interface model both the single and dual contact models have pros and cons and there is no clear answer which model is the better one. NordREG finds that in order to establish a common Nordic end-user market the present customer interface models in the Nordic countries are not needed to be changed. Therefore, NordREG makes note that the customer interface of the common Nordic end-user market model could mainly be based on the present dual contact point model, in which the division of supply and network activities is visible and transparent to the end-users. However, NordREG finds that the single contact point model could also be an option. NordREG suggests that the single point of contact point should be used as a primary solution especially in processes where it brings many more benefits than a dual point of contact point. For example, NordREG suggests that in supplier switching process the customer should contact only the supplier to initiate the processes. Huom! Oman kursivoinnit, omat lihavoinnit 19

Syyskuu 2010:

the common Nordic end-user market shall be open for all customers low entry barriers should be ensured by making it easy for suppliers to operate in all Nordic countries NordREG finds that the customer interface model for the common Nordic end user market for 2015 should be based on the supplier centric model. The purpose of the supplier centric model is to make it easier for the customers to operate in the electricity market, by, in most processes, providing them with the opportunity to only be in direct contact with the supplier. This will give the suppliers the main role in the market, while the DSOs have the role of market facilitators. NordREG finds that it is preferable for the common Nordic end-user market that the customer interface model is the same in all the Nordic countries.
