ECVETin soveltuvuus suomalaisiin tutkinnon perusteisiin Case:Yrittäjyyskurssi matkailualan opiskelijoille englantilaisen opettajan toteuttamana
Taustaa KAO mukana FINECVET-hankeessa, jossa pilotoimme ECVETiä maatalous- ja musiikkialalla. KAOn järjestämä opintovierailu, jossa osallistujana myös Bob Windmill.
Miksi? Halu kokeilla, kuinka ECVET soveltuu myös luokkaopetukseen Bobin tarjous englanninkielisestä yrittäjyyskurssista + = Kutsutaan opettaja Englannista Suomeen pitämään yrittäjyyskurssi matkailualan opiskeljoille
Suunnittelu alkuun R: laittaisitko sen opsin tutkinnon osan, johon kuuluvan kurssin Bob pitäisi. H: Eteneekö asia näillä tiedoilla? Matkailuvirkailijat VuoMMY10 - Matkailupalvelujen myynti- ja neuvonta 30 ov. Lukusuunnitelmassa Yrittäjyys 2 ov Matkailupalvelujen tuottajat VuoMM10 - Matkailupalvelujen toteuttaminen 30 ov. Lukusuunnitelmassa Yrittäjyys 2 ov
Suunnittelu jatkuu Kurssin opettaja antoi kurssin toteuttamissuunnitelman ja mietimme, miten Bob voisi toteuttaa sen Tulimme johtopäätökseen, ettei ole ECVETin mukaista tehdä kuten me täällä tehdään. Parempi on antaa Bobin itsensä miettiä, mitä ja miten opettaa. Kurssin toteuttamissuunnitelman sijaan lähetimme Bobille Matkailualan opetussuunnitelman perusteet englanniksi ja kerroimme, mihin tutkinnon osiin kurssi kuuluu
Englanninkieliset opetussuunnitelman perusteet apuun B: You directed me to look at modules 4.2.1 (Implementation of Tourism Services) and 4.3.1 (Tourism sales and information services). I am in the process of reading these. However I notice that there are also two entrepreneurship modules: 4.5.1 (p83,entrepreneurship) and 5.2.7 (p143, Entrepreneurship). Should I also be looking at these? R: Those entrepreneurship courses are optional and as far as I know they are not offered in our college or our students have not chosen them. But you can look at them and their contents because I think that it gives you a view of these themes.
Tämähän onkin selvää B: I think that I now understand the information that you kindly sent me and how this will help shape the plan of work for my course. Before I go too far with that I would be grateful if you would comment on my current thinking: My approach is to help the student learn about the principles of entrepreneurship, as defined in section 5.2.7 of the national curriculum but in the context of modules 4.2.1 & 4.3.1. By this I mean that the entrepreneurship examples and discussions will be based on the kinds of work that the students are training for as defined in the curriculum.
Oppimistulosten kuvaus ja kurssin toteutus Oppimistuloksia emme kuvanneet Bobille tietoina, taitoina ja pätevyyksinä vaan hän poimi ne itse opetussuunnitelman arvioinnin kohteista ja arviointikriteereistä Bob lähetti seikkaperäisen suunnitelman kurssin toteutuksesta, jonka koulutuspäällikkö hyväksyi: - Module Objectives - Constraints - Other considerations - General course structure - The project idea - Entrepreneurship Principles - Session topics - Curriculum Mapping (Learning outcomes) - Timetable
Curriculum Mapping Module 4.5.1 (Entrepreneurship) of the Vocational Qualification in the Tourism Industry curriculum specifies a number of learning outcomes. The table below shows where these are addressed in this course Learning outcome Where addressed assess productization opportunities,, assess the operating opportunities of a planned business,, specify a financially profitable business idea and develop a mission statement find a working partner company etc.
