TW-WLAN USB-sovittimen asennus Ajureiden sekä ohjelmiston asennus Seuraava asennusohje on tarkoitettu Windows XP SP2 ja Vista käyttöjärjestelmille. Asennus Windows 2000 käyttöjärjestelmään on hyvin samankaltainen. Huomautus: USB-sovitin kytketään tietokoneeseen vasta asennusohjelman sitä pyytäessä. 1) Asetetaan asennus CD sisään ja etsitään CD:ltä tuotteen mukainen ajurikansio 2) Tuplaklikataan Setup.exe, jonka jälkeen asennus käynnistyy 3) Hyväksytään lisenssiehdot painamalla Yes 3
4) Valitaan Microsoft Zero Configuration tool ja painetaan Next 5) Valitaan Optimize for WiFi mode ja painetaan Next 4
6) Ohjelma asentuu 7) Kytketään USB-sovitin vapaaseen USB-väylään ohjelman sitä pyytäessä 8) Ruudulle ilmestyy Windowsin ohjattu uuden laitteiston asennus. Odota tekemättä mitään. Asennusikkuna sulkeutuu automaattisesti hetken kuluttua 5
9) Valitaan Yes, i want to restart my computer now ja painetaan Finish Huomautus: tietokone käynnistyy uudelleen, joten tallenna kaikki keskeneräiset työt ennen 6
Wlan-verkkoon yhdistäminen Yhteys WLAN-verkkoon voidaan ottaa joko käyttämällä TW-WLAN USB-sovittimen omaa ohjelmaa (RaLink Wireless utility) tai Windowsin verkkoyhteystoimintoa. Alla Windows-ohje. 1) Tuplaklikataan Langaton lähiverkko kuvaketta kellon vierestä (vaihtoehtoisesti Ohjauspaneeli / Verkkoyhteydet) 2) Valitaan haluttu Wlan-verkko aktiiviseksi 3) Painetaan Yhdistä USB-sovittimen asennuksen purku Asennus voidaan purkaa Windowsissa kohdasta Käynnistä / ohjelmat / RaLink Wireless / uninstall 7

Insert device driver CDROM into the CD/DVD ROM drive of your computer 2. Execute Setup.exe program in Driver folder 11
3. Please read the end user license agreement and click Yes to accept license agreement 4. You can choose the configuration tool used to configure the wireless network card here. If you prefer to use the wireless configuration tool provided by Windows XP or Vista, please select Microsoft Zero Configuration Tool, then click Next. 12
5. Select Optimize for WiFi mode and click Next to continue 6. Please wait while the install procedure is running. 7. Insert the USB wireless network card into an empty USB 2.0 port of your computer when the program ask it 13

Connect to Wireless Access Point There are two ways you can configure your wireless network card to connect to wireless access point: using the Ralink configuration utility which comes with wireless card driver, and using built-in windows zero configuration utility. Next is Windows instruction. 1. Double-click Wireless Network Connection icon 2. (alternatively Control Panel / Network connections) 3. All wireless access points in proximity will be displayed here. If the access point you want to use is not displayed here, please try to move your computer closer to the access point, or you can click Refresh network list to rescan access points. Click the access point you want to use if it s shown. 4. Click Connect 16
