Travel Notice - Egypt Matkustustiedotteet, 7.3.2011 Egypti: matkustustiedote Suomen suurlähetystö Kairo Egypti: Valppaus tarpeen matkustettaessa Egyptissä. Egyptissä on voimassa ulkonaliikkumiskielto klo 24.00-06.00 välisenä aikana. Turvallisuusviranomaisten antamia ohjeita on syytä noudattaa. Cont... 4/12/2011 Laurea University of Applied Sciences 7

Carrying valuables Carry the minimum number of valuables, and plan places to conceal them. put them in various places rather than all in one wallet or pouch Inside pockets and a sturdy shoulder bag with the strap worn across your chest are somewhat safe One of the safest places to carry valuables is in a pouch or money belt worn under your clothing Bring travelers checks and one or two major credit cards instead of cash. 4/12/2011 Laurea University of Applied Sciences 17
Traveling in general Because we come from a very safe country we tend to close our eyes from potential risks and dangers! Do not trust strangers! Anything out of ordinary might be part of a scam or pickpocketing Just because someone is friendly does not mean he is honest What is a small amount of money for you could be local s annual income! 4/12/2011 Laurea University of Applied Sciences 18
Drugs Widely available in several countries Just to remember Something that is being sold as a certain drug might be something completely different. People using or selling drugs tend to be part of other criminal activities as well. Something that you might think as a recreational fun, might be punishable by life in prison! 4/12/2011 Laurea University of Applied Sciences 19
