What is ES (Entrepreneurship Society) Society to promote entrepreneurship Usually based in University Run by young entrepreneurs and people interested in entrepreneurship

History of ES Movement started 2007 in Helsinki, in projects to activate the youth for entrepreneurship 2009, two Entrepreneurship Societies registered in Helsinki National startup boom around students and youth Overall more interest and awareness in entrepreneurship and startup entrepreneurship Hundreds of startup businesses established Several new accelerators Globally known startup conferences (most known Slush) movement has turned in to 16 Entrepreneurship Societies all around Finland

About ES s (Entrepreneurship Societies) ES board members run and represent the society, also take care of legal responsibilities Along with active members who take part in organizing activities ES is Supported by Universities, cities and regional development companies Cooperates with companies and entrepreneurs Activate & inspire youth and students to entrepreneurship Connect youth and students with entrepreneurs and other mentors Create peers for youth and student entrepreneurs Organize events like: talks, workshops, competitions, bootcamps and accelerators Events are open for anyone to join

Patteri Entrepreneurship Society ry Established January 2013 (Patteri Network) Registered January 2015 20+ active members Mission: PatteriES s mission is to develop the entrepreneurial culture in Kymenlaakso region and to support ideas and businesses forward. Develop the startup culture in the region

STAGE Inspiring talks for everyone interested Interesting companies, compelling people, inspiring stories and talks about entrepreneurship from different angles E.g. compelling story from an entrepreneur to inspire young people for entrepreneurship Example Tiina & Miska Students who realized that their curriculum is lacking certain knowledge they needed, so they invited experts on that field for a panel discussion for everyone to join and get the knowledge.

CAMBRIDGE VENTURE CAMP

Cambridge Venture Camp 2-weeks bootcamp to take ideas forward and to learn basics about startup entrepreneurship, educational lectures and inspirational talks Cooperation with Judge Business school, Anglia Ruskin and several Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland PatteriES has been together organizing and developing for two times (Spring 2014 & fall 2015) 40 entrepreneurs and students sent by PatteriES

Startup Summer Camp 10-week accelerator program to start business Competition where 10-12 best teams get selected in to the program People in the program are from different nationalities and backgrounds (e.g. Europe, Canada, St. Petersburgh and different disciplinary) Consist from workshops, educational lectures and inspirational talks Coaches and mentors are entrepreneurs, investors and experts from different fields Organized during university's summer holidays

*ship The Startup Festival To support the next generation of entrepreneurs Created together with US Embassy, Cambridge Judge Business and startup culture influencers in Finland Mentors from e.g. Cambridge, Africa, USA and Google Done for the first time 23.7.2015, in Kotka Consist of mentoring, pitch -competition, keynote speeches and evening gala 20 startup teams, 10 mentors, over 200 visitors
