Lessons learned / experiences 1/2 For long projects (4-7 years) it is recommendable to be prepared to personnel & organisation changes (sound documentation, LIFEdiary to ensure passing info onwards during changes?) In multi-partner projects (here total of 8) it is essential to supervise actions and timetables & share information and know-how In massive environmental building projects good forehand planning is a great benefit (soil studies in weir & dam constructions essential to estimate the costs) challenging to execute without prefunding or before funding decision Furthermore, it is possible (and thus worth considering beforehand) that in such construction processes the structures may need remodification after a short while 16.12.2011 42
Lessons learned / experiences 2/2 The consulting arrangement btw the Comission and the project seems to be working well and distributes efforts in a reasonable way (no need to bother Comission with smaller questions for example) Hand s on guidelets might be helpful (including real examples, cases, possibly from former projects?) concerning all sorts of administration, aquisition etc. questions? Already exists? In management plans participatory approach is a must and beneficial to reach best outcome -> needs a LOT of time (also unnecessary meetings) 16.12.2011 43
