The Red Bull KTM Ajo riders are in action again this weekend, less than a week after the wild Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix. The three riders face the eleventh round of the Moto3 World Championship with the intention of being amongst the frontrunners. Karel Hanika is especially looking forward to this Grand Prix, which takes place at the Brno Automotodrom, 10 km from his home. Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder want to return to the fight for the podium and keep adding important points to their tallies in the overall standings. Miguel Oliveira, who cut a point off the gap to the leader last week, will continue fighting until the last lap of the eight remaining races to finish the season as high up as possible. After the strange race at Indianapolis, the Portuguese wants to take a podium at a track where for the last three years he has finished in the Top 10. He is only 7 points from overtaking his total from 2014. Also wanting to continue in the top half of the classification is Brad Binder. The South African has made the Top 10 in 9 of the 10 races that have taken place so far, although he is not settling for this. In his previous visits to the Czech track, his sixth from last year is his best memory. Karel Hanika contests his home race this weekend, at the track where he used to train as a child. Hanika will be riding in front of family and friends, as well as many fans. Last year he was fifteenth in the race, and in the Red Bull Rookies Cup he won two of the three races he contested at Brno between 2012 and 2013. The Moto3 Czech Republic Grand Prix will be held on Sunday at 11am. 44 MIGUEL OLIVEIRA "We arrive in Brno with plenty of desire to do well, after a really wild race in Indianapolis that was decided by tyre choice. This weekend the forecast is for hot temperatures, so we will see how we respond. As we did at Indianapolis, we will try to be consistent in every session and always be up at the front. The work we do before Sunday will be key to a getting on the podium."

The truth is that the race last weekend left me a little disappointed, because after the practices we did, I really thought we could get a very good result if everything had gone as planned. In the end, it was a lottery. Brno is one of my favourite circuits on the calendar. I think it could favour both my riding style and the KTM, and we will be able to make our great top speed count. I hope we enjoy a 'normal' weekend." 98 KAREL HANIKA "Brno is my home Grand Prix, because I live just 10km from the circuit. It is the event I await most eagerly every year. It is the track where I grew up and started riding, as well as on the minimoto circuit that is beside it. Last year the race was interesting because we were 15th and just 1.8 seconds behind the winner, so we were very close to the top positions. I hope it's like that this year. If we find a good setup and do those things well in practice, I think we can get a positive result. I'm sure I'm going to have fun, because many fans will come and hopefully they will encourage me. Ajo ajaa helleaallon harjalla kohti ukkosmyräkkää Brnossa Niklas Ajo lähtee hakemaan pikaista revanssia parin päivän takaiselle Indianapolisin rengasepisodille, kun Moto3-luokan kauden 11. MMosakilpailu ajetaan ensi sunnuntaina Brnon Masaryk-radalla Tshekissä. Olosuhteet olivat keleiltään äärimmäisen haastavat Indyssä, eikä helpotusta ole luvassa Brnossakaan, mikäli lähipäivien sääennusteet pitävät paikkansa. - Hellettä tosiaankin riittää, sillä lämpöä on ollut parhaimmillaan tuollaiset 38 astetta. Toisaalta täällä oli keskiviikkona melkoinen ukkosmyräkkä ja vastaavaa on povattu myös kisapäiväksi. No, näillä mennään, sillä keleillehän ei voi mitään, toteaa RBA Racing-tiimin KTM-kuljettaja kylmän viileästi. Ratana 5403 metrin mittainen Brno lukeutuu paitsi kuljettajien, myös yleisön suuriin suosikkeihin. Tshekin GP:n kolmen päivän yleisömäärä tapailee parhaimmillaan 250 000 silmäparia. - Tämä on sarjan yksi hienoimmista radoista. Nopealta radalta löytyy leveyttä ja paljon korkeuseroa, joten se poikkeaa luonteeltaan täysin Indianapolisista. Varsinkin Moto3-luokassa Brno on tarjonnut todella kovaa taistelua johtuen osittain myös radan leveydestä. Tshekin GP:ssä ajettiin viime kaudella MM-sarjan 67 vuoden mittaisen historian tiukin kisa, kun Moto3-luokan 15 nopeinta kuljettajaa mahtuivat 1,838 sekunnin sisään. Ajo oli silloin 12:s 1,061 sekuntia voittajan takana. - Tähtäin on tiukasti kympin sakissa. Ei tämä rata ole minulle ainakaan siitä huonoimmasta päästä, tuumii Ajo. Brno edellyttää pyörältä ja sen säädöiltä paljon. Balanssin on oltava kohdallaan läpi linjan. - Huippunopeutta on löydyttävä suorille ja toisaalta voimaa riittävästi ylämäkeen. Ajolinjojen on osuttava tarkalleen kohdalleen, ettei tuhoa vauhtia, alleviivaa Ajo. Kuljettajan on puolestaan pidettävä päänsä paahtavasta helteestä huolimatta kylmänä ja nesteytys kunnossa krampeilta välttyäkseen. - Tästä on tulossa monessakin mielessä taatusti mielenkiintoinen viikonvaihde. Aamupäivisin näissä keleissä ajetaan ihanneolosuhteissa, mutta iltapäivällä kova kuumuus vaikuttaa tietysti pitoon, Ajo silmäilee ensisijaisesti lauantain suuntaan. Johann Zarco showed at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix that he is able to have a great race even when a track is not his favourite. The summer break did not bring an end to his great form this season, and he scored a ninth podium finish in a row, increasing his lead to 71 points in the overall standings. The Moto2 series now returns to Europe and the Czech Republic, where the Frenchman wants to continue closing in on the title. Zarco has been on the podium at the Automotodrom Brno, with a second position in 2011. In Moto2 he has always placed inside the Top 10 there, but wants more from this weekend to put the poor results of the past few seasons in the Czech Republic behind him. With 199 points, an advantage of 71 points and a record of nine straight races on the podium, the Ajo Motorsport rider is the man of the moment in Grand Prix racing. The Moto2 riders will take to the track at Brno for the first time on Friday at 10:55am, to contest the first free practice session. Qualifying is on Saturday at 3:05pm and the race will be run on Sunday at 12:20pm.
