TAIDETTA HYVÄN TARKOITUKSEN VUOKSI Nokian Taidekerho on yksi Nokian ja Nokia Siemens Networksin työntekijöiden harrastekerhoja pääkäupunkiseudulla. Taidekerho kannustaa yrityksen työntekijöitä taideharrastukseen ja järjestämällä työntekijöille maalaustunteja ammattitaiteilijoiden johdolla. Nyt Nokian Taidekerho sen jäsenet, taideopettajat ja taiteilijayhteisö järjestää vapaaehtoisvoimin taidenäyttelyn tarkoituksenaan kerätä varoja Pelastakaa Lapsille. Näyttelyn teema on Lasten ääniä ja sen teokset on tehty sadutuksen avulla. Sadutus on menetelmä, jonka avulla voidaan helposti ymmärtää lasten maailmaa ja ajatuksia. Lapset saavat mahdollisuuden vaikuttaa asioihin, sillä sadutus korostaa lasten kuuntelua ja osallisuutta. Tätä taidenäyttelyä varten lapset ovat saaneet mahdollisuuden ilmaista ajatuksiaan kertomalla satuja ja tarinoita, jotka Nokian Taidekerhon vapaaehtoiset ovat kuvittaneet näyttelyssä nähtäviksi piirroksiksi ja maalauksiksi. Nämä taideteokset myydään www.huuto.net verkkohuutokaupassa. Huutokaupan tuotto lahjoitetaan kokonaisuudessaan Pelastakaa Lasten Hätäapurahastoon ja varoja voidaan käyttää Pelastakaa Lasten ohjelmiin Suomessa tai ulkomailla. Sinun huutosi ratkaisee, paljonko varoja Taidekerho saa kerättyä hyvään tarkoitukseen. Lasten Hätäapurahaston varoilla Pelastakaa lapset voi esimerkiksi: Jakaa ruokaa ja juomavettä katastrofi- ja konfliktialueilla järjestää turvallisia leikki- ja koulutiloja sekä terveyspalveluja suojella lapsia hyväksikäytöltä ja väkivallalta avata kouluja ja kouluttaa opettajia suojella lapsia lapsityöltä tukea lapsia ja nuoria Internetissä järjestämällä kriisi- ja tukichatteja turvata vähävaraisten perheiden nuorten lukio- ja ammattikouluopintoja Osallistumalla huutokauppaan autat hädänalaisia lapsia! 2
NOKIA SIEMENS NETwORKS JA PELASTAKAA LAPSET Pelastakaa Lapset on voittoa tuottamaton suomalainen kansalaisjärjestö, joka pyrkii parantamaan koko lapsiväestön asemaa ja edistää lapsen edun toteutumista. Pelastakaa Lapset taistelee lasten oikeuksien puolesta parantaakseen välittömästi ja pysyvästi lasten elämää kaikkialla maailmassa. Vuoden 2011 aikana yhteistyötä on syvennetty korostamaan lasten oikeuksien edistämistä, lasten osallisuutta ja mahdollisuuksia vaikuttaa tasavertaisesti uusien ja innovatiivisten media kasvatuksen menetelmien avulla. ART FOR A CAUSE Nokia Art Club is one of the Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks Helsinki area hobby clubs. Nokia Art Club encourages company employees to the journey of the world of art by arranging painting lessons with professional artists. Now Nokia Art Club - its members together with art teachers, art friends and artist community is arranging a volunteer charity art sales exhibition in order to raise funds for Save the Children Finland. The exhibition theme is Lasten ääniä, Children s voices and it is based on story crafting. Story crafting is an easy way to get to know how children think and understand the world around them. This strongly participative method allows the voice of children to be raised and heard through which children become empowered and their wellbeing enhanced. Within this project we gave the opportunity for children to express their views through sharing a story, a tale, and children achieve a change to influence decision making through Nokia Art Club volunteers who illustrate the stories as a painting or drawing. These pieces of art are sold by auction in www.huuto.net. Your bids are called and you can make an impact how much we can in total gather for the good purpose. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Save the Children s Relief Fund. Funds from Children s Relief Fund will be allocated to Save the Children programs in Finland or abroad. 1. Katja Derome Matka/Journey 25,5cm x 23cm 11-vuotiaan Saden tarina: Olipa kerran punainen laakso, jossa asui paljon punaisia elefantteja, mutta yksi oli erilainen. Se oli harmaa elefantti. Ja muut eivät pitäneet siitä, että hän oli harmaa ja siksi hän oli hyvin yksinäinen. Eräänä päivänä, kun muut punaiset tai punaiset elefantit juhlivat sadonkorjuujuhlaa niin.. niin harmaa elefantti mietti kotonaan, koska häntä ei ollut kutsuttu juhliin, että, että miten minä saisin toisten huomiota. Ja sitten hän keksi: Hei minäpä haen tuolta kaupasta punaista maalia ja maalaan itseni punaiseksi. Niinpä harmaa elefantti lähti kauppaan ostamaan punaista maalia. Katja Derome Haave/Dream 22cm x 25,5cm 11-vuotiaan Saden tarina: Olipa kerran Keke-kastemato. Keke oli jo hyvin hyvin vanha. Hän halusi aina käydä Italiassa, mutta haave ei ollut vielä toteutunut. Niinpä Keke ajatteli, että hänpä lähtee Italiaan, koska hän on niin vanha eikä hän ehdi koska muulloin käymään. So Edward packed his suitcase with all the necessary things and set forth to the airport. The journey took two years, as you can imagine how long it takes to reach the airport with the speed of an earthworm. Edward bought the tickets to Italy and went through the customs. The flight was scheduled to take off in two hours. Edward sat down on a sofa and waited for the flight. He waited and waited and he couldn t even tell what the time was, after all he was an earthworm. But suddenly everything blurred, a human sat on him and he got squashed. That was the end of Edward. 3. Liubov Gurina Kuollut hevonen/dead horse 23,5cm x 31vcm 9-vuotiaan Artturin tarina: Olipa kerran hevonen, jolla oli lapsia. Eräänä päivänä hevonen kuoli ja lapset surivat kovasti. Loppu. Story by Artturi 9 years: Once upon a time there was a horse that had babies. One day the horse died and babies were very sad. The end. 4. Liubov Gurina Sudenkorento/Dragonfly 30cm x 23cm 9-vuotiaan Hollyn tarina: Olipa kerran sudenkorento. Se oli laiska. Sillä oli vain muutama ystävä. Kun se oli vanhempi, se halusi vaimon. Mutta se oli liian laiska. Nyt se oli tosi vanha ja sillä edelleenkään ei ollut vaimoa. Sitten se näki kaksi kukkaa. Se muisti se oli laiska. Kukat näyttivät kahdelta rakastuneelta sudenkorennolta. 5. Tarja Kankaanranta Häät laivalla/wedding on board 36cm x 25,5cm 4-vuotiaan Kiran tarina: Olipa kerran prinssi ja prinsessa, jotka menivät naimisiin. Häät vietettiin laivalla. Prinssi ja prinsessa söivät hääkakkua ja elivät onnellisena elämänsä loppuun saakka. Story by Kira 4 years: Once upon time there was a prince and a princess who got married. The wedding ceremony was celebrated on board. The prince and the princess ate wedding cake and lived happily ever after. 6. Helena Kekkonen Tarina tammi 1/Story oak 1 20cm x 16cm 7. 11-vuotiaan Saden tarina: Kaukana kaukana täältä oli yhden vuoren kukkulalla iso iso tammi. Se oli hyvin paksu ja hyvin hyvin hyvin vanha, jopa tuhat vuotta vanha. Tapani Kiippa (www.tapanikiippa.com ) Velmu taikoo kristalleja /Velmu s crystal magic trick 39cm x 36cm 12-vuotiaan Meerin tarina: Olipa kerran Velmu-niminen haltia. Velmu oli jo 100-vuotias. Velmu asui vuorella. Velmulla oli taikahattu, jolla pystyi taikomaan. Yhtenä päivänä Velmu päätti mennä avaruuteen piknikille. Avaruudessa oli pimeää, pelottavaa ja se oli iso paikka. Nykyään sinne mennään piknikille. Pian Velmu laskeutui meteoriitille. Siellä oli möykkyistä. Sitten Velmu näki avaruusolion ja lähti pois. Seuraava kohde oli Uranus. Siellä Velmu rupesi syömään eväitään. Vähän aikaa eväiden syönnin jälkeen avaruusoliot nappasivat Velmun. He vangitsivat hänet. Seuraavaksi Velmu taikoi avaruusoliot vankilaan ja itsensä vapaaksi. Sitten Velmu lähti pois. Kotona Velmu taikoi itselleen palkinnoksi uroteostaan kristallin. Sitten Velmu menee kokeilemaan kristallia ulos. Ja lähti tappamaan avaruusolioita kuoliaaksi. Sitten Velmu meni takaisin kotiin ja söi kakkua. Story by Meeri 12 years: Once upon a time there was an elf. The elf s name was Velmu. Velmu was already 100 years old. Velmu lived on a mountain. Velmu had a magic hat that could be used for magic tricks. One day Velmu decided to go to outer space for a picnic. It was dark and scary in space and it was huge. Nowadays it is common to have a picnic in space. Soon Velmu landed on a meteorite. It was a bumpy place. Then Velmu saw an alien and went away. His next destination was Uranus. There Velmu started to eat his picnic lunch. A while after the picnic aliens kidnapped Velmu and imprisoned him. Next Velmu set himself free and imprisoned the aliens with a magic trick. Then Velmu left. At home Velmu used magic tricks to get a crystal trophy for his heroic deeds. Then Velmu goes out to test the crystal. And then he goes to kill the aliens. Then Velmu went back home and ate some cake. 11
10. Sari Kivinen (www.sarikivinen.com) Kissa kujalla/cat on alley 45cm x 26cm 7-vuotiaan Elmerin tarina: Olipa kerran kissa, joka asui kaupungissa. Kaupungissa oli paljon taloja. Kissa käveli siellä aina kujalla, jossa oli isoja taloja. Eräänä päivänä kissa käveli kujalla, jossa oli vielä isompia taloja. Story by Elmeri 7 years: Once upon a time there was a cat that lived in the city. There were many houses in the city. The cat was always walking on an alley that was surrounded by big houses. One day the cat was walking on an alley that was surrounded by even bigger houses. 11. Sari Kivinen (www.sarikivinen.com) Mörön talo/bogey s house 22cm x 54cm 12-vuotiaan Meerin tarina: Olipa kerran pikku mörkö, jolla oli talo keskellä synkkää metsää. Talo oli pelottava, eikä kukaan uskaltanut mennä sinne - ei edes pikku mörkö itse. Loppu. Story by Meeri 12 years: Once upon a time there was a little bogey that had a house in the middle of a gloomy forest. The house was so creepy that no one dared to go in there not even the little bogey itself. The end. 12
12. Erja Käppi Leppäkerttu kukassa /Ladybug on a flower 34cm x 24,5cm Veeran tarina: Olipa kerran leppäkerttu, joka asui kukassa. Mutta kukassa ei asunut ketään muuta leppäkerttua, joten leppäkerttu oli yksinäinen. Koira eli onnellisesti elämänsä katsellen kuuta. Story by Eerika: Once upon a time there was a dog that liked the moon. The dog went to look at the moon every night. The moon looked like cheese. Marja-Liisa Lindell (www.kuninkaantientaiteilijat.com/mllesittely.html) Prinsessa metsässä /Princess in the forest 27,5cm x 37,5cm 6-vuotiaan Pinjan tarina: Oli kerran prinsessa, joka tahtoi mennä metsään katsomaan eläimiä, sillä hän oli kovin eläinrakas. Hän näki lintuja, jäniksiä, ketun ja monia muita eläimiä. Sitten tuli ilta ja pimeä, eikä hän osannut mennä takaisin kuninkaan linnaan. Hän löysi tammen onkalon ja jäi siihen yöksi. Seuraavana päivänä hänellä oli kova koti-ikävä ja hän tahtoi takaisin linnaan. Kuningas ja kuningatar löysivät hänet metsästä ja toivat kotiin. Sen pituinen se. Story by Pinja 6 years: Once upon a time there was a princess who wanted to go to forest to see animals, because she was very fond of animals. She saw birds, hares, a fox and many other animals. Then the night and darkness came and she could not find the way back to king s castle. She found a hollow oak and stayed the night there. On the following day she got very home sick and she wanted to go back to the castle. The king and the queen found her in the forest and brought her back home. The end. 15. Tomi Oikarinen Muurahaiskarhun piknik /Anteater s picnic 27cm x 34,5cm 9-vuotiaan Artturin tarina: Olipa kerran muurahaiskarhu. Se päätti syödä muurahaisia. Se teki niistä eväät ja lähti piknikille puistoon. Muurahaiskarhu tallasi nurmikon ja joutui vankilaan loppuiäkseen. Sen pituinen se. Story by Artturi 9 years: Once upon a time there was an anteater. It decided to eat ants. It cooked provisions of them and went to have picnic in the park. The anteater stomped the lawn and ended up in jail for the rest of its life. The end. 14

Juha Rikkilä Mummon joulu vankilassa /Granny s Christmas in prison 26cm x 36cm: 12-vuotiaiden Ainon ja Meerin tarina: Hyvin kauan sitten nimittäin eilispäivänä mummo leikki parhaan ystävänsä vihreän katin kanssa. Mummon nimi oli Kerttu ja hän tykkäsi ajella omalla trendikkäällä mopollaan. Kissan nimi oli Green, mutta mummo ei osannut lausua sitä ilman, että tekohampaat lähtivät suusta. Green oli ihan oikeasti maailman ainut vihreä kissa. Yhtenä aamuna mummo huomasi, että mikro-pizza oli loppu. Äkkiä kauppaan!, huusi mummo ja kiiruhti mopoaan käynnistämään. Sitten hän huristeli kauppaan. Matkan varrella oli moottoritie. Siinä Kerttumummo kaasutti tuhatta ja sataa. Sitten poliisi tuli valot vilkkuen. Hei, en ole tehnyt mitään. Näytä niille, mopo, kaasua!, huusi mummo, mutta Pertti-poliisi oli pysäyttänyt mummon niin monta kertaa, että tämä oli hänelle helppo nakki. Tämä oli niin mones kerta, että nyt vankila kutsui. Vitsin pimpula!, huusi mummo kaltereiden takaa. Missä joulukalenteri, entä olettekos kertoneet joulupukille? jankkasi mummo koko loppuvuoden. Story by Aino 12 years and Meeri 12 years: Very very long time ago that is yesterday granny was playing with her best friend a green cat. Granny s name was Kerttu and she enjoyed riding her trendy moped. The cat was called Green, but granny could not pronounce it without having her dentures fall down from her mouth. Green was truly the only green cat in the world. One day granny noticed that she had run out of microwave pizza. Fast to the store! shouted granny and rushed to start her moped s engine. Then she raced to the store. Along the journey there was a motorway. On motorway Kerttu-granny speeded up like a bat out of hell. Then a police officer came with blue lights flashing. Hey, I have not done anything! Show them moped, pedal to the metal!, shouted granny, but Pertti the policeman had pulled her over so many times before that stopping granny was a piece of cake for him. After countless arrests, it was clear that prison called. Oh gosh! yelled the granny behind bars. Where is my advent calendar? Have you told to Santa Claus? nagged granny for the rest of the year. 15
17. Andrea Sandor Satumetsä/Fairy forest 29cm x 36 cm 11-vuotiaan Saden tarina: Olipa kerran metsä, jossa oli paljon puita ja eläimiä. Puut olivat värillisiä. Siellä oli kaikki sateenkaaren värit. Metsässä paistoi aina aurinko ja siellä oli myös välillä sateenkaaria. Story by Sade 11 years: Once upon a time there was a forest where many trees and animals lived. The trees were colorful. All the colors of rainbow could be found there. Sun was always shining in the forest and sometimes there were also rainbows. 18. Sari Saranka Taivaan temppeli/temple of heaven 33 cm x 23cm Taiteilijan oma tositarina Pekingissä 2007: Ihmisvirtojen keskellä seisoo pieni poika ja itkee. Kyynelet valuvat poskille. Mistä on kyse? Kukaan ei kiinnitä poikaan huomiota, ihmiset kulkevat ohi. Menen lähemmäksi. Poika itkee, kukaan ei tule. Lapsi on eksynyt. Oletko eksynyt vanhemmistasi, kysyn englanniksi. Poika ei vastaa mitään mutta tilanne on ilmeinen. Mitäs nyt tehdään? Alue on valtava, ihmisiä tuhansia. Kuinka täällä kukaan koskaan löytää ketään? Poika on epätoivoinen. Pienet hartiat tärisevät ja hän alkaa itkeä ääneen. Kurkkua kuristaa. Vieraisiin lapsiin ei pidä koskea, pelästyvät. Poika itkee, omissa silmissäni kirvelee muukin kuin savusumu. Vieraisiin lapsiin ei pidä koskea, mutta tilanne on jo melkein menetetty. Laitan käteni pienelle olkapäälle. Minulla on kotona samankokoinen poika ja vähän pienempi tyttö. Poika rauhoittuu. Ympärille alkaa kerääntyä ihmisiä, perinteinen tuijotusrinki. Eikö kukaan...? Kiinalaiset turistioppaat pudistavat päätään. Punaisessa takissani ja vaaleassa hatussani, torilta ostettu joulukoristerasia kädessäni erotun kuin kärpässieni nurmikolta mustahiuksisten, tummiin syysvaatteisiin pukeutuneiden kiinalaisten keskeltä. Vielä toisen kerran poika itkee ääneen, vielä toisen kerran laitan käteni lohduttavasti olkapäälle ja hän rauhoittuu taas. Kyllä varmasti, varmasti ihan pian. Beijing 2007. A true story by the artist. There s a little boy standing in the middle of the crowd and he is crying. What is going on? People are passing by and everyone is ignoring the boy. I m looking at him from a distance and then I approach him. Have you lost your parents? He does not reply but the answer is obvious. What do we do now? This is a huge area, thousands of people and I do not have a clue who to look for. The child is desperate. His little shoulders are shivering and he starts weeping. It s not just the smog hurting my eyes. You shouldn t touch children that you do not know but what else can I do? I rest my hand on his little shoulder. I ve got a son of his age and a younger daughter at home. The boy calms down. People start to gather around us, staring at the mother and the child. Not of each other s but we are connected by the shared concern. I m wearing a red jacket and a white hat, carrying a box of Christmas decorations bought from local market. Among the dark-haired Chinese in their dark autumn clothes I m an obvious stranger. Again he starts weeping, again I put my hand on his shoulder and he trusts me. Yes, surely soon, I hope. And then there is another stranger, redheaded young man who is pointing at the boy with his other hand on his father s shoulder. How did they find each other? The boy walks to his awaiting father. After having smiled and waved to the father I turn my back to them I start crying out of a relief. The moral of the story, I think, goes something like that there are rare moments in life when you can help just by standing still and looking strange. 19. Mika Törönen (www.mikatoronen.com ) Torinäkymä/View to market place 27cm x 37cm 12-vuotiaan Jennan tarina: Espanjalainen mies muutti Amerikkaan ja päätti pitää siellä suomalaista toria, jossa piti puhua ruotsia. Se oli miehen suurin unelma, mutta koska mies ei osannut puhua ruotsia, unelma ei toteutunut. Miehen piti muuttaa köyhänä takaisin Espanjaan. Story by Jenna 12 years: A Spanish man moved to North-America and decided to set up a Finnish market place, where he needed to speak Swedish. It was his biggest dream. Because he could not speak Swedish, the dream never came true. The man had to move back to Spain in poverty. 21. Hanna Veräjänkorva Lohikäärmeen aarre /Treasure of the Dragon 22,5cm x 30cm 9-vuotiaan Topin tarina: Olipa kerran lohikäärme, joka vartioi timantteja. Hän lenteli yleensä kylän yllä. Lohikäärme oli harmaa ja hyvin vahva. Sillä oli vierekkäin ylöspäin ja alaspäin olevat torahampaat. Ja eteenpäin - sillä oli myös eteenpäin sojottavat sarvet. Sillä oli piikkejä kuonon päällä.
