VTT:n hankeaihiot Artemis 2013 hakuun Tekes Artemis-workshop 13.2.2013 Juha-Pekka Soininen, VTT
AIPP5: MCMC - multi-core technology for mixed criticality applications in dynamic and changeable real-time environments VTT contact person: Kari Kolehmainen, Eila Ovaska, Anton Yrjönen
8 AIPP5: MCMC mixed criticality in multi-core systems Motivations: Costs are increasing due to critical / secure / power / reliability requirements more than it will be economically feasible. The number of Embedded Control Units cannot (economically) grow -> need economically viable mixed criticality (properties) systems. System properties do not scale well need of intelligent mixed criticality scenarios Solution proposal: Service oriented architecture in an embedded cloud environment (E 2 Cloud) Aggregate resources Offer expensive system properties as services
9 MCMC scope Addressed system levels / architecture: Heterogeneous Multi-core Hardware System software runtime environment/networking Applications Design methodologies & tools Addressed aspects: Fault tolerance Energy management Security and Safety under real-time conditions Qualification, Reliability.. Domains: Automotive Aerospace Railway Shipping Industrial manufacturing Logistics IT-infrastructure ( Internet of Things ) Healthcare / ambient assisted living Status More than 100 interested partners 20 countries involved Finnish industrial partner needed

ALMARVI: Algorithms, Design Methods, and Many-core Platforms for Low-Power Massive Data-Rate Video and Image Processing VTT yhteyshenkilö: Janne Keränen
17 ALMARVI:Algorithms, Design Methods, and Manycore Platforms for Low-Power Massive Data-Rate Video and Image Processing Tavoitteena on kehittää algoritmeja, suunnittelumetodeja, ja moniytiminen prosessointialusta, joiden käyttötarkoituksena on energiatehokas ja aikakriittinen massiivisen video- ja kuvadatamäärän prosessointi.
Hankkeen pääkoordinaattori on Philips Healthcare (Hollanti).
