Competition tasks at the finals and the time allotted to perform them Competition tasks Painting a wooden facade, coating a wall, taping and levelling a drywall (gypsum board), painting a window, painting a communication door, papering a wall, coating a floor, Tikkurila speciality task, speed task, interpretation of documents and a possible 30 % change Tasks accomplished on Competition Day 1 (9 am 5 pm / 8h) Task 1: Taping and levelling a drywall (gypsum board) Task 2:Painting a wall Tasks accomplished on Competition Day 2 (8 am 5 pm / 8h) Task 3: Painting the enamel walls of communication doors Task 4: Coating a floor Tasks accomplished on Competition Day 3 (8 am 1 pm / 5h) Task 5: Wallpapering and speed task Task 6: Coating and painting an exterior wall Task 7: Tikkurila speciality task Task 8:Professionalism, work safety, interpretation of documents Assessment The competition tasks are modular which means that the results can be announced at the end of each competition day. The total points of the competition tasks is 100 pts. The tasks are judged on the authenticity of the result, appropriate work methods, the finish, work safety and general orderliness of the work station. The given deadlines to accomplish the tasks have to be met. The results will be announced daily. Assessment areas Task 1: Taping and levelling a drywall and painting a window, 17 pts 3 / 5
Task 2: Painting the enamel walls of communication doors, coating a floor, 23 pts Task 3 : Wallpapering and the speed test, coating and painting an exterior wall, Tikkurila speciality task, professionalism, work safety, interpretation of documents, 60 pts The details of the scoring of the tasks (modules) have to be specified. The competitor has to know what kind of performance is required to achieve the maximum points. Description of carrying out the assessment The jury of the category (5 judges) consists of representatives from working life and vocational education. The judges carry out the assessment individually and in pairs, and each competition task is assessed separately. The ranking of the competitors is decided on according to predefined criteria for the particular category. Further details on assessment times and assessment areas will be announced at the competition. Both subjective and objective assessment are used. The CIS scoring system with maximum 100 pts per category is used at the competition. The jury of the category reserve the right to change about 30% of the contents of the competition task at the competition site before the start of the task. Materials, equipment and work stations at the competition site The surface area of the walls to be treated is appr. 33 m². The floor area available is appr. 22 m² / competitor. All competitors use similar tools supplied at the competition site. The competition tasks are carried out with the materials provided by the competition organizer. The organizers also provide the lighting, work benches, dust masks and work outfits (sizes to be reported in advance) / HW. All materials, products and equipment are commonly known and used in working life. The products are supplied by the competition partners. Detailed competition instructions will be delivered to the finalists in writing or orally at info events during the competition days.
