Pakolaisseminaari of Ecology 2011 in Joensuu 8.-9.11. 2011 We are happy to invite you November 8.-9. 2011 to Joensuu campus of the UEF, which lies in the city of Joensuu in the Northern Carelia, in the Eastern Finland, ca. 70 km west from the border of Russia. http://www.uef.fi/biologia/yhteystiedot Pakolaisseminaari was established in early 1980 s. The original idea of the seminar was to bring Finnish ecologists together and especially keep contact among ecologist who had worked in Joensuu during their career. Many of the earlier seminars have also celebrated 50 years anniversaries of Finnish ecologists. The topics of the seminar cover many aspects of ecology including basic ecology, evolutionary ecology and behavioral ecology. Traditionally, distinguished ecologists abroad are invited to seminar as keynote speakers. We have both the Tuesday and Wednesday for presentations and discussion. Traditional Esiseminaari will be held on Monday 7.11. at Pub Palaveri, starting from 18.00 - There are several reasonably priced housing options in the downtown Joensuu. Registrations by email to raine.kortet@uef.fi. On behalf of the Pakolaisseminaari of Ecology 2011 organizing committee. Raine, Hannu, Pekka & Heikki Welcome!
