Tämä Z tuntuu olevan tasalla, kuten myös Bogotalainen. Ehkä näemme päivän, jolloin konsolilta voi lennossa valita eri QTHssa olevat radiot (no joo, onko se sitten sitä "oikeaa DXää"... Having recently learned Russia is no longer permitting TWR to broadcast its programmes from stations inside the country, the ministry hopes to provide a clear signal there through a Christian station owned by Tartu Family Radio in neighbouring Estonia. This $409,000 endeavour will increase TWR s current potential audience from 50 million to 159 million. In September 2001, Blue Ridge Broadcasting donated a 50kW AM transmitter, which was subsequently upgraded to 100kW. This transmitter now needs to be upgraded to 200kW. More intrigued is the service on 846 khz Roma is operated in DRM Mode with same program as 900 khz...but 693 khz RAI Milano Siziano in DRM Mode is Relay RAI 2 FM... 24 hours...even if recently it has been on/off DRM...and at daytime I noted relay same RAI 1 service as 900 khz in AM mode... Conclusion...it is a total madness how is operated RAI on MW in Italy. Only sure is the normal regional service is carried at 0620-0627 UTC and at 1110-1127 UTC...over RAI 1 MW and FM. The job is part of ongoing modernization of Saudi TV and Radio's transmitter infrastructure, and includes both radio and TV products. The Saudi MOCI chose 21 AM radio transmitters, including 3DX digital solid-state transmitters; 40 FM radio transmitters, including the ZX range of low-power transmitters; and 36 TV transmitters, including Atlas digital solid-state air-cooled transmitters, Harris stated. "These transmitters have been deployed across multiple Saudi TV and Radio facilities to allow for the broadcast of audio and TV programs terrestrially throughout the kingdom," Harris reported. "The new TV transmitters are an especially critical element of Saudi TV and Radio's program to upgrade its television infrastructure to digital. Dr. Riyadh Najm is deputy minister of engineering affairs for MOCI. Harris systems integrator First Gulf Company is the contractor. The Ministry of Culture and Information is owner of the official Saudi TV and Radio Network. It has four TV channels and four radio channels. All in Arabic apart from an AM 1701 ID in English. A search of the ACMA database shows it is still the same licence it has been since 1996, operating out of Silverwater in Sydney. This frequency has run various stations such as 2NTC in the past. Radio for the Print Disabled Inc. on 2 Feb 2009, below is an extract from the Secretary's reply to my letter of 26 January in which I discuss the possible closure of our shortwave service. Quote: The Board of the NZ Radio for the Print Disabled considered all the facts presented but came to the decision to cease broadcasting as ZLXA on 3935 khz forthwith. The main reason for this decision is the state of the valves on the transmitter. We would need to renew the four valves (4/400c) at a cost of approximately $3000 also the cost of power at $400 per month and an annual licence of $700 combined makes this broadcasting service completely unfeasible. We are at this point in time trying to raise finance to replace the MW transmitter which suffered damage during last year's storm. The Board, though, has agreed to broadcast on 3935 khz over a weekend from 5.00 pm Friday 20th March through to Monday morning 23rd March 2009, (0400 20/3-1900 22/3 UT), depending on the transmitter functioning for that period. This is the best that we can do to enable the many international DXers to receive our transmission for one last time. As you will appreciate, for an organisation reliant on grants and donations to continue serving our listening community, the shortwave component is no longer viable.
