the presence of history Tampere was founded on the banks of the Tammerkoski Rapids in 1779. The town blossomed with the coming of industrialisation in the late 19th century. The Finlayson, Tampella and Kehräsaari factory complexes still stand as monuments to the city s industrial past. Today they are home to restaurants, cinemas, quaint shops and halls for festive occasions. In Tampere, the past and the present literally live side by side. between east and west Tampere is easily accessible from all directions. There are numerous direct flights from European cities to Tampere- Pirkkala Airport. Three quarters of the country s population live within two hours of Tampere. There are good rail and bus connections with other parts of Finland. In Tampere, the distance between the hotel and the congress centre was short, which made it easy to get around. Our hotel was extremely pleasant, and the food was generally excellent. It has frequently been evaluated the best congress centre in Finland. The spectrum of conference venues is broad and varied. You can choose a downtown hotel, a spa, a course centre in the bosom of nature or a modern conference centre in the heart of the town. There are several professional congress organisers (PCOs) that offer a wide range of assistance in handling the practical arrangements for congresses.

Evening occasions can accommodate up to 600 people when the restaurant is merged with the foyer and café. Restaurant Aleksis Restaurant Aleksis is located in the Technopolis building, next to the University of Tampere. It can seat up to 350 dinner guests or up to 600 cocktail party guests when merged with the foyer. Aleksis is the perfect choice for meeting catering in the Technopolis building. In the daytime it offers a smooth lunch service with a fresh and healthy menu. In the evenings the restaurant can be converted into an intimate space for events with dinner served at the table or buffet-style. Restaurant Tiiliholvi Restaurant Tiiliholvi is located in the cellar of an Art Nouveau building in the heart of the city centre. It has long traditions and prides itself on classic French cuisine with a Scandinavian twist. Tiiliholvi s wine cellar provides the perfect complement to its menu. The main dining room can provide seating for up to 90 people, while the maximum number of guests is 170. Restaurant Laterna Laterna s history goes all the way back to the 1890s. Its dining rooms have been tastefully redecorated in a historic style. This restaurant offers a premium selection of Russian-influenced cuisine. Laterna is only available by prior booking and can seat up to 120 people. The maximum number of cocktail guests is 250. Ravintola Aleksis toimii sujuvana ja monipuolisena lounasravintolana päivisin. Iltaisin tila muuntuu tunnelmalliseksi juhlatilaksi, jossa illallinen voidaan tarjoilla pöytiin tai buffet-pöydästä. Tiiliholvi sijaitsee jugend-talon kellariholvistossa aivan Tampereen ytimessä. Se on perinteikäs à la carte -ravintola, jonka tarjonta koostuu klassisista ranskalaista herkuista modernilla pohjoismaisella vivahteella. Tasokkaat viinit kruunaavat makunautinnot. Pääsaliin mahtuu 90 henkilöä. Enimmillään Tiiliholviin voidaan kutsua 170 vierasta. Tampereen keskustassa sijaitsevan Laternan historia ulottuu 1890-luvulle. Ravintolasalit on entisöity vanhaa kunnioittaen. Monipuolisissa ja tasokkaissa menuvaihtoehdoissa on mukana venäläisiä vaikutteita.
