WATER PIPES PLACEMENT 2.4.1 Regulation Water pipe and its appliances shall be installed in the building so that possible leak can be found reliably and in time. Water pipe may be inspected and repaired easily. Floor of sanitary cabin shall not be made through hole for water pipes. Jukka Räisä 2
2.4.1.1 Guidelines Water pipe shall be installed as follows: 1) It shall be visible; 2) Water pipe shall be installed into the casing pipe so that it shall be replaceable. 3) Vertical distribution pipes shall be installed in easily opening spaces outside of sanitary cabin, for example, floors service doors or easily opening pipe elements; 4) easily removable structural element, such as the lowered roof, curtain enclosure cabinets, or under or behind upper cover plates.. 2.4.1.1 Guidelines 5) Water fittings connection pipes shall be installed into the wall structures so that possible leak does not pass into structure and so that leak shall be easily found. 6) Into subfloor space, which height is minimum 1,2 m. 7) Below ground. Jukka Räisä 4
2.4.1.1 Guidelines. For detection of water leakages it shall be used such kind of buildings design solutions, when water flow would be visible. The vertical distribution of wiring leak detectors placed in each layer you want, so that water can not get pass-through the tile. Dependents, and inspected equipments you make a hatch, big enough, but not less than 500 mm x 500 mm size, clearly marked, removable or open hatch. Ground-based water mains do not need to be replaceable without digging, if it is located under the bottom of the building or otherwise difficult to unlock the surfaces under such intense traffic. WATER METERING 2.4.2 Regulation Water meter shall be placed into the perfectly suitable place so that it would be installable, readable, maintainable and replaceable easily. It should be protected against freezing and excessive heat and other harmful actions. Jukka Räisä 6
2.4.2.1 Guidelines Water supply and sewerage system s department designs and installs the site service pipes and the main water meter with its fittings always unless advised otherwise. Building's water meter is installed, if possible, immediately to the basic wall inside the floor pitted room, to a point where the plot of tap enter the building inside. The main water meter is to be fitted with a check valve if more than one service pipe enters the building. Jukka Räisä 7

2.4.2.2 Guidelines Water supply system shall be designed so that quantity of water per apartment would be reserved. It must be reserved enough space for water meter installation, so water meter would be installable easily. Jukka Räisä 12
