New Orleans dropped the first three games of the road trip losing 9-2, 4-1, and 10-2 and yesterday the game was suspended in the fourth inning. NOLA claimed eight of 14 meetings with the Sounds last year, including taking six of eight at First Tennessee Park for the second straight season. After the loss Saturday night, New Orleans is now 3-7on the road this season. LAST TIME OUT The Sounds and Cakes played three scoreless innings Sunday afternoon when heavy rain forced the game to come to a halt. After two hours the game was suspended and will be finished on the Cakes next trip to the Music City. The game will be finished on June 18. The stats for the game will not count until Juine 18. ON THE HILL The Cakes turn to Odrisamer Despaigne for his fourth start of the season today. In his last start he worked four innings allowed three runs on four hits in a 7-5 loss against Omaha. Despaigne has not pitched five innings in either of his three starts and fell one out short from qualifying for a win on April 20th against Iowa. Opponents are hitting.214 against Despiagne this season. He opened the season on the Miami Marlins disabled list with a strained oblique strain. BREAK OUT THE LUMBER - The Cakes have not scored a run prior to the eighth inning in each of the first three games of the series. EARLY WOES Through the first three innings of games, the Baby Cakes have been outscored by a combined 52-19.
