Sähköntuotannon polttoaineet ja CO2-päästöt 3.6.217 17 (17) Energiantuotannon viralliset polttoaineiden ja päästöjen vuositilastot tekee Tilastokeskus. ET:ssä (Energiateollisuus ry) tehdään arviot vuoden sisäisestä sähköntuotannon polttoaineiden käytöstä ja päästöistä sekä lasketaan ennakkotietoja. Arvioissa on mukana vain sähköntuotannon polttoaine-energia, ei voimalaitoksella kaukolämpöön tai teollisuushöyryyn sitoutunutta polttoaineosuutta. ET:n arvioiden lähtökohtina ovat sähköntuotannon kuukausitilastoa varten voimalaitoksittain kerättävät tuntituotantotehot ja vuositilastokyselystä saatavat viimeisimmän tilastovuoden laitoskohtaiset polttoainejakaumat.
