Teaching for the East Central European, Balkan and Baltic Studies, 2007 2008 The teaching programme consists of lecture courses organised in collaboration with the ECEBB departments as well as lecture courses suitable for ECEBB study block that are given on the ECEBB departments. As a rule, the teaching programme is marked course-specifically by ECTS credits and old credits according to both the new and the old degree systems. The factor used varies somewhat from department to department and faculty to faculty. PLEASE NOTE: The teaching programme might be subject to changes and additions, so it is advisable to check course-specific information before the start of the course. Teaching times During the Autumn term, lessons will be held from 3 September to 19 October (1st period) and from 29 October to 14 December (2nd period); during the Spring term from 14 January to 29 February (3rd period) and from 14 March to 2 May (4th period). A break for Easter will be taken from 20 to 26 March. Literature examinations The ECEBB literature examinations stated in the degree requirements are taken on general exam dates of the Renvall Institute. Please see performance of studies for further information concerning the examination practices. Literature and responsible teachers are listed in the degree requirements. Please check the degree requirements for possibilities of performing the ECEBB optional studies in literature examinations. You can include language studies (up to 5 ECTS credits / 2.5 old credits) of the relevant languages into the ECEBB optional basic studies.
