EN-standardi on saatettava identtiseksi SFS-EN-standardiksi. Vuodesta 2015 alkaen kaikki EN-standardit julkaistaan englanninkielisinä SFS-EN-standardeina. Näistä merkittävimmät käännetään myös suomeksi. Osa 2: Ohjelmointi ja dokumentointi 2014-05-01 SESKOn komiteoissa standardoidaan jo tulevaa teknologiaa Sähköteknisellä standardoinnilla on pitkät perinteet. Kansain välinen sähköalan standardointijärjestö IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) on perustettu jo vuonna 1906. Aluksi valmisteltin horisontaalisia standardeja sanastoista ja dokumenteista sekä laitestandardeja mm. pyörivistä koneista, muuntajista ja johtimista. Myöhemmin repertuaari on laajentunut mitä moninaisimpiin laitteisiin ja järjestelmiin. IEC, CENELEC ja SESKO Sähköalan standardointi perustuu kansainväliseen yhteistyöhön jonka tulokset julkaistaan IEC-standardeina. Valtaosa niistä otetaan käyttöön Euroopassa CENELECin (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) toimesta. Suomalaiset sähköalan standardit perustuvat IEC:n ja CENELECin julkaisuihin. Laitestandardit ovat SFS-EN-standardeja ja ne ovat täysin identtisiä koko CENELECin alueella. Asennusstandardeja joudutaan sen sijaan hiukan soveltamaan eri maissa. Standardointi luo yhteisiä pelisääntöjä Oikeat termit ja yksiselitteiset dokumentit tarvitaan, jotta työt etenevät silloinkin, kun projektissa on mukana monta tekijää. SESKOn komiteoissa SK1 ja SK3 työstetään näitä asioita. Sähkö- ja elektroniikkalaitteiden koko toimitusketju komponenttivalmistajista kauppiaisiin hyötyy materiaaliselostestandardeista. Ympäristövaikutukset ja energiatehokkuusasiat kuuluvat SESKOn komitealle SK 111. Rakennusten hälytysjärjestelmiä ja elektroniikka järjestel miä kannattaa rakentaa vain standardien mukaisina. Näin ne voidaan pitää kunnossa myös tulevaisuudessa. Standardoitu yleiskaapelointi on nykyaikaisen kiinteistön hermoverkko. Ne ovat komitean SK 215 työaluetta. Suomalaiset, kilpailukykyiset tuotteet Älykkäät sähköverkot on yksi keskeisimmistä sähköteknisen standardoinnin painopistealueista.seskon Smart Grid -asioista vastaava komitea SK 8 tunnistaa suomalaisen elinkeinoelämän kannalta oleelliset projektit teollisuutemme kilpailuky vyn varmistamiseksi. Tehoelektroniikan alalla on merkittävää suomalaista osaamista, jonka kokoaa komitea SK 22. Asiantuntijoiden tukena ovat tehoelektroniikan turvallisuusstandardi, taajuusmuuttajien energiatehokkuusstandardi ja häiriöstandardit. Turvallisuus, turvallisuus ja turvallisuus Kansainvälisillä ja eurooppalaisilla standardeilla on jo pitkään varmistettu turvallisuutta. Standardeja on käytetty vaatimustenmukaisuuden varmistamiseen jo ennen kuin oli olemassa pienjännite- tai muita sähköalan direktiivejä. Aikoinaan Sähkötarkastuskeskus teki ennakkotarkastusta IEC-standardien pohjalta. Myös asennuksia koskevat standardit ovat nyt vakiinnuttaneet asemansa. Räjähdysvaarallisten tilojen ja laitteiden standardit ovat samoja kaikkialla. Monet johtavat suomalaisyritykset ovat mukana SESKOn komiteassa SK 31 niitä kehittämässä. Pienjännitesähköasennusten standardit, joiden valmistelussa on mukana SESKOn komitea SK 64, ovat perustana sähköasennusten turvallisuus vaatimuksille lähes koko maailmassa. Automaation systematisointi Automaatiostandardeilla luodaan teollisuusprosessien turvallisuuden ja toimivuuden pohja. Standardit paranta vat automaatiotuotteiden yhteensopivuutta ja yhteistoimintaa sekä antavat hyödyllisiä tietoja nyky aikaisen prosessiautomaation menetelmiksi. Tästä seuraa eri valmistajien tuotteiden ja ratkaisujen hel pom pi kuvailtavuus, vertailu ja arviointi. Standardit systematisoivat alueen käytäntöjä. Luotettavuus Laite- ja EMC-komiteoiden valmistelemien standardien ansiosta voidaan luottaa siihen, että kodinkoneet ovat turvallisia ja toimivat luotettavasti. Pesukone pesee ja radio kuuluu häiriöttä. Erilaisten kotitaloussähkölaitteiden turvallisuus vaatimukset, energiatehokkuus ja suorituskyky testataan kodeissa päivittäin. Vain standardien avulla voidaan hallita sähkömagneettisten häiriöiden päästö- ja sietovaatimuksia Tiellä valoisaan tulevaisuuteen Kansainvälistä valaisimien liitäntälaitteiden standardointikomiteaa IEC 34C johdetaan suomalaisin asiantuntija voimin. Standardien ohjeistuksen avulla valmistajat parantavat led-tuotteiden ja niiden liitäntälaitteiden turvallisuutta ja suorituskykyä. Sähköautokin on sähkölaite. Suomalaiset vaikuttavat aktiivisesti latausjärjestelmien turvallisuusstandardeihin ja laativat niiden pohjalta suomalaisiin olosuhteisiin mukautetut suositukset esimerkiksi sähköautojen latausjärjestelmien toteuttamiseksi komiteassa SK 69. Myös uusiutuvat energianlähteet aurinko, tuuli ja aallot tarvitsevat standardeja. Ilmajohtojen merkitys kasvaa sähköntuotannon hajautuessa.
