EN-standardi on saatettava identtiseksi SFS-EN-standardiksi ja tämä voidaan tehdä yksinkertaisimmillaan luetteloimismenettelyä käyttämällä, jolloin kansallisesti ei julkaista mitään erillistä asiakirjaa, vaan ainoastaan asiasta ilmoitetaan SFS-tiedotuksessa. Lisäksi SFS-EN-standardin tunnus ja nimi ilmoitetaan SFS-standardiluettelossa. SFS-EN-standardi voidaan vahvistaa suomalaiseksi standardiksi myös julkaisemalla siitä suomenkielinen käännös.
