Johdanto Preface Autoalan faktat nyt myös netissä Kädessäsi on vuosijulkaisu, johon olemme koonneet keskeisimmät tilastot ja tunnusluvut autoalan kehityksestä Suomessa. Tätäkin kattavammin pääset tutustumaan alaan juuri avatuilla nettisivuillamme osoitteessa www.autoalantiedotuskeskus.fi. Vuosijulkaisu perustuu vuoden 2003 alkupuolella saatavilla oleviin tietoihin. Päivitämme autoalan tilastoja nettiin jatkuvasti, joten sieltä löytyy aina tuorein informaatio. Nettisivut tarjoavat käyttöösi tietopankin ajankohtaiseen toimialatietoon sekä monipuolisen portaalin autoalan tiedon lähteille. The Finnish Central Organisation for Motor Trades and Repairs (Finnish acronym AKL) is an association that represents the financial and labour market related interests of automobile, truck and machinery sales companies and repair, painting, antirust and inspection companies, also providing services for them. Its task is to improve the operating environment for its member companies. The goal of AKL s representation of interests related to industrial policies is to create a favourable operating environment for road traffic and member companies. AKL works in co-operation with various officials and political decision-makers, undertakes initiatives and investigations for use by decision-makers, and participates on many levels in the drafting and making of community decisions. AKL s work in the representation of interests is carried out in co-operation with various stakeholder groups, such as road traffic organisations and the financial and insurance sectors. Labour market activities consist of following and developing the industry s labour force and employee training policy, educating member companies, and providing consultation on labour market issues and collective bargaining agreements. AKL negotiates collective bargaining agreements together with the Metal Workers Union, the Automobile and Machine Industry Union and the Union of Salaried Employees.
