3 Johdanto Kansallisista SFS-standardeista on suurin osa SFS-EN-standardeja, sillä EN-standardit on saatettava identtisiksi SFS-EN-standardeiksi. Suunnilleen 85 % sähköalan EN-standardeista perustuu IEC-standardeihin ja tarvittaessa niitä on täydennetty yhteiseurooppalaisilla muutoksilla. IEC-standardeja ja muita IECjulkaisuja on voimassa noin 7500 kpl. IEC:n ja CENELECin Frankfurtin sopimuksen mukaisesti rinnakkaismenettelyllä valmisteltujen ENstandardien tunnuksissa on sovellettu vuoden 2018 alusta lähtien seuraavaa: IEC-standardien kanssa identtisten eurooppalaisten CENELEC-standardien tunnukset ovat muotoa EN IEC 6xxxx. IEC-standardeihin perustuvat EN-standardit, joiden sisältöä on muutettu CENELECin yhteiseurooppalaisilla muutoksilla, numeroidaan edelleen EN 6xxxx. Jos IEC ei ole kiinnostunut laatimaan kansainvälistä standardia tietyltä alueelta, niin CENELEC laatii tällöin puhtaasti eurooppalaisen EN-standardin (home grown), joka julkaistaan tunnuksin EN 5xxxx. Näitä standardeja on noin 15 % kaikista eurooppalaisista julkaisuista. Lisäksi CENELEC laatii HDharmonisointiasiakirjoja, kun ei ole mahdollista tehdä EN-standardia esimerkiksi kansallisten käytäntöjen vuoksi. HD-harmonisointiasiakirjaa ei ole pakko vahvistaa kansalliseksi standardiksi, mutta siitä voidaan vahvistaa osia suomalaiseksi standardiksi sisältöä muuttamatta. Näin on tehty esimerkiksi suomalaisia energiakaapelistandardeja. Kansallisia SFS-standardeja laaditaan enää hyvin harvoin ja niitä tehdään lähinnä sanastoista, sähköasennuksista, energiakaapeleista ja eräistä muista vastaavista aiheista, joissa eri mailla on erilaisia käytäntöjä. Tällöinkin SFS-standardin esikuvana on joko IEC-standardi tai HD-harmonisointiasiakirja. 3

4 Kaikki sähköalan eurooppalaiset EN-standardit julkaistaan englanninkielisinä SFS-EN-standardeina. Osa standardeista käännetään myöhemmin ja yleensä tämä standardi sisältää myös alkuperäisen englanninkielisen tekstin. Tällainen standardi ei kumoa aiemmin julkaistua englanninkielistä SFS-ENstandardia. Näin ollen eräistä SFS-EN-standardeista on olemassa sekä englanninkielinen versio että kaksikielinen versio, joka sisältää myös suomenkielisen käännöksen. Tiedot kaikista SFS-, SFS-EN- ja IEC-standardeista sekä SFS-käsikirjoista löytyvät SFS-kaupasta ja niitä voi tilata Suomen Standardisoimisliitto SFS ry:n myyntipalvelusta. IEC:n verkkokaupasta voi hankkia suoraan yksittäisiä IEC-standardeja ja standardikokoelmia. SESKO neuvoo suomalaisia sähköalan standardien käytössä p ).
